About

Money laundering is not like laundering clothes – it is dirty work attempting to clean money earned illegally.
Investigative journalist Robert Reynold’s busy life changes abruptly on a rainy day when Police Officer Paula Carpozi stops to help him as his car is stalled in a huge puddle. Their relationship grows amidst burgeoning moments embedded in crime, hostile acts, and massive attempts of deception causing much harm to innocents.
As Robert investigates the most successful realtors on the pricey East End of Long Island for a soft newspaper story he uncovers hard facts leading to a very hard news story bathed in lies, violence and attacks on him and Paula. A man’s house is burned down, his car is blown to pieces and murder can be seen on the horizon.
Tough minded Detective Florence Acevedo, assigned to investigate the top realtor, Philip Macetti, infuriates him when she doesn’t fall for his con man persona. He is angered to the point of making big mistakes – mistakes that will lead tough guy Quentin’s actions on his behalf to backfire.
Robert and Paula have no choice but to protect each other and dig down to the bottom of the ever changing story leading to a state of publish and perish.
